Ambassadors Program

Sometimes difficult times create opportunities. In early April of 2020, Wells Bring Hope received an influx of high school students interested in volunteering to help support the cause. Close to thirty young people from all across the country and from all walks of life reached out. These students expressed very positive feelings about Wells Bring Hope and a deep desire to become involved. President and Founder, Barbara Goldberg, decided to turn this into a learning opportunity for them and thus created a program called “Wells Bring Hope Ambassadors.”

The program was designed to train young people in how to engage in Community Outreach, how to go out into their communities and generate awareness of and support for Wells Bring Hope. The program evolved into an eight-week seminar with students meeting via Zoom for one hour every week. Upon completion of the course, students receive a certificate indicating that they have successfully fulfilled the requirements of the seminar.

The WBH Ambassadors program included inspirational and motivational guest speakers, among them former volunteers who joined WBH in their early teens and started major fundraising efforts. They are part of the Ambassadors team and will work with Ambassadors as they move forward to launch their own fundraising efforts.

As part of a homework assignment, each Ambassador was asked to create a video that would encourage people to support Wells Bring Hope. Their videos were then combined into one to tell the story of WBH from their unique perspective.
